李艳，女，博士，正高级工程师。本科就读于厦门大学海洋学系，获得自然资源部第一海洋研究所硕士学位，中国海洋大学博士学位。主要从事海洋生物/生态调查研究与分类鉴定工作，在浮游植物分类和海洋生态灾害减灾与防控方面开展了较为深入的研究。近年来主持国家自然科学基金2项，国家重点研发计划课题1项，子课题1项，全球变化专项项目2项，地方科研项目9项，其他项目4项。在国内外核心刊物上发表论文38篇，其中SCI论文23篇；出版海洋浮游植物分类专著2部；授权发明专利5项；获得省部级特等奖1次。
