Key Lab of Material Transport and Transformation in Environmental and Life Processes

The laboratory is engaged mainly in the research development of marine ecological environment monitoring techniques and the isolation and expression of bioactive substances in traditional Chinese medicine and natural product with particular emphasis on the development of modern analysis and sustainable applied technical platform for marine ecological environment monitoring and has made leading achievements in the research fields of analytic chemistry, life science, marine science, environmental science and information material. The laboratory is equipped with modern analysis instruments and natural medicine research and development facilities, including an instrument demonstration center and a superclean room. There 15 staff members in the laboratory, among them, there are 3 professors, 4 research scientists and 5 associate research scientists, and 3 postdoctorals take part in the studies in the laboratory. The research team includes 11 with Ph.D. degree, 4 with master degree and move than twenty graduate students.
Subject Direction
  Marine ecological environment monitoring and quality assessment
     

The main researches include the research and application of pollutant source tracer technology, the monitoring and assessment of marine ecological environment, the development of chemical/biological sensors and the monitoring of marine pollutant, radionuclide and biotoxin.
  Natural bioactive substances development and application
      The main researches include the research of biotargeted function and food chain transfer rule of natural active components, the research of isolation, preparation, purification and expression technology of pharmaceutical components in the traditional Chinese medicine and marine life and the development of health care and functional food.
  Analytical method development and standardization
     

The main researches include the development environmental analysis technology and monitoring instrumentation and the standardization and standard reference material (SRM) preparation for the lab and field sampling and analysis methods.
